About

Since 2005, I have dedicated my professional life to helping people overcome the suffering caused by tinnitus. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Registered Nurse Clinician, I developed a structured and evidence-based habituation protocol that has helped thousands achieve peace of mind and emotional balance despite the constant presence of tinnitus.

My method integrates principles of neuroscience, cognitive dissonance theory, and positive psychology to accelerate habituation to both the reaction and perception of tinnitus. I have published my work in English, Portuguese, and Spanish so that people worldwide can benefit from an accessible and scientifically grounded approach to relief.

Through my writings, clinical work, and global support groups, my goal is to empower every person affected by tinnitus to understand it, reframe their response to it, and regain control over their lives.

When tinnitus is initially interpreted as dangerous or catastrophic, limbic and autonomic circuits amplify attention, anxiety, and physiological stress, reinforcing a...

Habituation
Habituation is not achieved by silencing the sound, but by restoring the mind’s capacity to remain stable in its presence. Each time the protocol is practiced without avoidance, fear, or resistance, the nervous system receives a clear message: nothing essential is at risk. Over time, this repetition reshapes meaning, dampens reactivity, and allows tinnitus to recede into irrelevance, not because it disappeared, but because it no longer mattered.
